Compassionate Science

A compassionate scientist should not only love what he/she does, but they should do it with the intention of helping others. There are many compassionate scientists that are out helping those in need and what these people do is amazing. Mike Ebeling is an inspiring man who really made a difference in the lives of many individuals. In the future I would like to become a doctor that finds a cure for a disease that would otherwise be overlooked by the public. I want to bring about change and do it to help those who need the help. I admire compassionate scientist because people like Mike Ebeling showcase how not all people use technology for the wrong reasons.

The Future

In the future technology will be so advanced that people will no longer have to do things for themselves. When someone gets up from bed they won't have to lift a muscle. Students will no longer attend school because everything will be able to be done through modern technology. This will allow students to be with teachers and other classmates as though they were in a regular classroom. The computers will make it easier for students to manage their classes without actually physical being there. When the power goes out everyone will suffer because they will be so reliant to it. As time goes by people will have no other choice than to be connected to this form of technology because times will no longer be as they are now. No one will be able to manage without being connected. There will be internet usage everywhere and everyone will be able to be tracked down. The government will be able to know with who and where you are at.

One Time I Laughed Really, Really Hard

A while back my close friends and I were hanging out at one of their houses and for some reason one of them decided to jump over the fence. The fence wasn't too high, but it isn't too short either. My other friend decided to follow her foot steps and jump the fence as well, but she couldn't. When it came my turn to jump I had no problem getting over. The friend who was too scared to jump decided to just go for it, but as she jumped she got stuck. My other friend and I who had succeeded couldn't stop laughing. It was one of those moments when you just had to be there in order to see how funny it was. After we had stopped laughing we helped her get off safely. We made sure she was okay, but it was just so funny.

My Review of Modern Times

Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times (1936) was a film I enjoyed very much. The film was sentimental yet funny at the same time. I think Charlie Chaplin became successful so quickly because his humor was like no other. Chaplin was able to portray serious times all while making the audience laugh a little. I liked how Chaplin used his humor even though times were tough in the film. One of my favorite parts was when the Little Tramp enters the little home and the wood falls and hits him in the head. The house is falling apart and barely standing yet he jokes about how the floor and chair collapse. Chaplin really knew how to appeal to his audience. Another part I really enjoyed was when the Little Tramp is inside the store and the burglars startle him. Chaplin understands that the burglars are hungry and he feels for them. Charlie has fun even though he barely has enough to eat. The ending is a scene I really like as well because it reminds the audience that no matter what they go through, they should always smile.
